- Please check with your respective airline, before departing, if there are any special requirements on the packaging of certain items.
- As of 1 June 2007, international travellers using South Africa's airports are prohibited from carrying hand luggage containing liquids, aerosols and gels exceeding 100 millilitres.
- You need to call the airline and let them know that you will be staying in South Africa for no longer than 1-3 years.
Meet and Greet
A Kelly Onboarding Specialist will meet you at the airport when you enter through the terminal, he/she will be wearing a Green t-shirt with ‘Kelly’ written in white.
NB!!! Please hand your flight boarding passes to the Kelly Onboarding Specialist (we need the boarding passes for both flights).
Foreign Exchange
The Kelly Onboarding Specialist will then assist you to exchange your foreign currency into Rands (R) at the foreign exchange desk. Foreign exchange charges vary. Currently you will pay anything between R30-R50. Again, please remember that we require that you bring a minimum of €1,500 to assist you during the first month, especially to pay for accommodation and transport.
Grocery Shopping
Once you have arrived and have exchanged your money, the Kelly Onboarding Specialist will take you to a local shopping mall (not too far from your guest house or accommodation) to purchase some groceries or snack items. You will need to buy goods for at least a week (remember that the accommodation is completely self-catering).
When you have finished your shopping, you will then be taken to your guest house or permanent residence. |
