- IT assessments.
- Interview with Client.
- Accept and return offer.
- Start saving money to ensure you will have enough money to get you through the first month in SA (ideally €1,500).

2 Months to go
- Your Kelly Onboarding Specialist to assist you with work permit application.
- Sign Kelly contract and send signed copy to Kelly.
- Send a copy of your passport and your physical address to your Onboarding Specialist.
- Your Onboarding Specialist applies for your Corporate Worker’s Authorization Certificate (CWAC) from the South Africa Home Affairs Department.

6-7 Weeks to go
- You apply for your birth certificate, police clearance, medical report and radiological reports.
- You send a copy of all the above documents to your Onboarding Specialist.
- Your Onboarding Specialist sends your courier pack to you.

5 Weeks to go
- Once you receive your courier documents make an appointment with the embassy to lodge your application.
- Your Onboarding Specialist and yourself to double check all documents are in order.
- Lodge your application at the embassy.

4 weeks to go
- Your Onboarding Specialist to send you information regarding accommodation and transport in your first month.
- Ask your Onboarding Specialist to assist in booking accommodation and transport if needed.

2-3 weeks to go
- You should receive your work permit.
- Your Onboarding Specialist to make final flight arrangements.

1 week to go
- Start packing your bags taking the season and weather in SA into consideration, as well as the baggage allowance for your flight.
- Arrange for items you cannot accommodate in your suitcases to be mailed to you in SA.
- Make arrangements to be at the airport 3 hours before departure. If you miss the flight you will be responsible to buy the next ticket.
- Ensure you have enough money to get you through the first month in SA (ideally €1,500).

Departure day
- Check you have all documentation ready including: passport, airline ticket.
- Get to the airport 3 hours before departure.
- Pack an extra change of clothes in your hand luggage in case your suitcases get mislaid.
- Say goodbye to friends and family.

Arrival in SA
- A Kelly Onboarding Specialist will welcome you at the airport.
- The Kelly Onboarding Specialist will give you a cell phone, SIM card and some airtime to SMS your family that you have arrived.
- You can change foreign currency at the airport.
- The Kelly Onboarding Specialist will then take you to do some shopping for essentials if you need (and if your arrival time is within normal trading hours).
- Your Kelly Onboarding Specialist will transport you to the place where you will be staying.

First day in SA
- Rest and familiarize yourself with your new surroundings.
- If you are feeling adventurous go on a tour to one of the many attractions in the Joburg area.
- Explore
- You are ready for an African Experience of a lifetime!

First day at work
- 08:00am meet your Kelly Onboarding Specialist at reception.
- Sign contracts and documents.
- Meet the Kelly team for coffee.
- A Kelly Representative will take you through induction.
- One of the local banks will come meet with you and help you apply for your SA bank account.
- Lunch.
- Further induction and meet with a representative from your health fund scheme – GetMed .

First month in SA
- You will be trained on the desk.
- Explore vibrant Joburg.
- Find a home and transport.
- Network with your new colleagues. (It’s easier to find places to stay and people to share with that way.)
