Health Fund
Included in your total cost to company is a contribution to a Health Fund – GetMed. The cost of this scheme is R575 per month for a single member and it is taken as a deduction from your salary.
The GetMed Policy covers you for day to day medical expenses at Medical Aid Rates (NHRPL) and will also cover you for any emergency hospitalisations at private hospitals at Medical Aid Rates.
The policy schedule and application form need to be sent to your Kelly Onboarding Specialist before you arrive in SA. Please read through the information as it gives you very important details on what exactly it will cover as well as an information pamphlet on how claims are made.
VERY IMPORTANT! IF YOU HAVE SUFFERED FROM ANY SERIOUS ILLNESSES OR CHRONIC CONDITIONS PLEASE INFORM YOUR KELLY ONBOARDING SPECIALIST WELL IN ADVANCE OF YOUR ARRIVAL IN SA SO THAT WE CAN CHECK IF YOUR MEDICATION IS COVERED BY THE HEALTH FUND.

Additional Cover
If you would like to take out additional cover, this can be done through travel insurance at your own cost.
We recommend that you apply for cover in your own country BEFORE you arrive. You must make sure you are covered for the full length of your stay in SA.
